React Job: Software Engineer - Sydney

We do this by building platforms that help connect local stores in Indonesia and beyond to a world-class distribution, logistics, and payment network.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, together with other engineers within your team, you are fully empowered to own the systems within your area of responsibility in the product. From small feature to adding real-time metrics and automated alerts, you aim to understand the behavior and heartbeat of your product and system in production. The impact youll have:

• Youll apply and mentor others in agile software development best practice

• Youll develop code that integrates with various systems, both within our platform as well as those made by third-party partners

• Youll fully own end-to-end development (including design, implementation, automated testing, and deployment) and maintenance of robust, performant, and scalable web applications

• Youll closely collaborate with other engineers and specialists from backend services, web frontend, mobile apps, security, and infrastructure on product and system design and ideation

• Through the technology you build, youll help to turn barriers into opportunities for millions of individuals and businesses through Indonesia, the Philippines, and beyond!

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the industry

• Professional experience across a range of development languages whilst being able to highly specialize in one or more languages - Golang and Ruby are highly regarded, but not essential

• Professional experience building secure and scalable applications in Vue.js, ReactJS, and/or Angular

• Professional experience on both relational (MySQL, PostgresQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB and/or ElasticSearch) databases

• Proficiency with Linux

• Experience with cloud, such as GCP, Azure, AWS

• Work Authorization in Australia

• A desire to keep it simple, collaborate, have fun, and most importantly enable our customers to grow.

• Strong communication and collaboration with teams across time zones.

What would be nice to have:

• Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities on web applications

• Strong willingness to take charges regardless of big or small

• Strong knowledge with micro services design / architecture

• Experience with developing web application at scale

• Experience with Devops/SRE/Networking

• Masters/Ph.D. degree, further education in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalently extensive professional experience in software development.

• Smart, highly motivated, pragmatic and results-driven

• Contribution to open source projects or quality side projects on github.
